Age Verification Removed Due To Trade Dispute

What four American idiots did shouldn't dictate the policy of the responsible Canadian airsoft community. Its common sense to keep our AEGs and GBBs out of sight, we don't need to be told that.
This brings a few other things to my mind. Perhaps the looming legal actions and the various downsides of airsoft in Canada have a positive aspect? For one the price drives away most anyone who is not serious about airsoft and actually taking part in a game. All the restrictions add to this. Furthermore, the overall tighter gun controls in Canada makes guns a far scarier thing to the average person and more respected to those who own and/or use firearms and consequently our airsoft. To put it simply, our national attitude towards guns makes us more responsible with their care and storage than Americans.

As long as we treat the AEGs,AEPsand GBBs that we have
as real there will be no problems, but if we treat them as toys (as they are)we will get into trouble . Not so much a low profile but rather treat our airsoft as real steel ,locked and secure and only out at approved ranges or games fields. Last edited by commandojim; April 7th, 2007 at 17:27.. |

Exactly why i Had the cops at my door for shooting 12 shots in my backyard at a target in semi with fluresent tape on my flash hinder and mag. Nosey nieghboors... And I remember another time two retards i knew where chasing a nerd around with a airsoft pistol at a bus station. As we where getting on the bus two police suvs swerve in front of the bus, and cops run out and yell for everyone who just got on to get off. Its always fun spending 30 min in the back of a squad car filling out a police report.

Maybe if you weren't such an idiot and had a bit more common sense, you wouldn't have these incidences with police.

Home and field is the only time my rifles are out. Home to clean them, field to use them

Funny story, I called 911 once because of obvious domestic violence in a neighbouring block. Since I wasn't sure were it came from, I told them to take the alley behind my block, and gave them my address. On foot, from the alley, they would be able to pinpoint the source fast. Young kid crying, adult yelling, et al.
Dispatch bungled up, and instead of giving my directions to the alley, just gave my address. I had just finished taking pictures of an armalite for a sale thread when I called, then jumped in the shower. Two minutes after the call, while in the shower, cops bang at my door. Since I was in the shower, I heard a noise but thought it was for my neighbor since I never had an uninvited knock, ever. Door opens, people racing up the stairs, I only have the time to grab a towel and stop the shower before and four cops are in my kitchen, just besides the bathroom door asking in a rather rude manner if I was alone. After the initial shock, I realised what happened and redirected the officers to the alley to intervene with the real issue. Now, I may laugh at this now, and poke fun at my girlfriend, who is jelous of my being man handled half naked by Montreal's finest. But I could very easily have been held at gun point, or worst, all the while depriving someone in need from critical help. See, right after taking the pictures, I took the gun and put it back in it's gun case, removed it from sight. I very honnestly believe that cops called on a violent incident would have been in the mood to be fucked with, and finding an assault rifle on the kitchen table, the first thing you'd see coming in has to fuck with you. Proper airsoft storage has perhaps saved my life, and has definitivly helped someone else's. Even if you don't own a fancy gun safe, at the very least keep them out of sight. Mr snakeeater, shooting in your backyard is not keeping them out of sight. May you catch a very bad case of herpes. So next time someone asks if it's a good idea to expose their guns, or tries to convince you that a guncase isn't as important as any other critical airsoft buys, refer them to this post. Shit happens, usually at embarasing moments... |

Yep, special. Admitting what kind of goofs you made, and then getting noticed by one of the Mods/Admins?
Anyone want to run odds on this guy getting age-verified easily? (In case he does not know, verifiers can refuse your application even if you are over 18 ) |

I just wanna ask, I know you guys dont like kids playing backyard softair. But really what is the problem with kids running around with clear plastic bb guns. I have a buddy that lets his kids run around in the backyard with clearsoft, with facemasks. I just dont see what the big deal is. Now if they were running around with armalites then I could see it being a problem. I hate what society has come to be. When we were kids we'd go hunting with 22's. Nobody gave a fuck. Canada is really starting to suck my dick.
