I was just wondering if it was a good gun...
I know there's a lot of metal in it and everything...

The only thing is i don't know if 270 fps is fast...
Well i gotta see it in my face...

Anyone got it or heard about it ?
Lots of accessories wich comes with it ^^

Thanks,
Union

google or the search button on this site probably would have helped you. I also know youtube has a pretty good videoreview.
270 isnt that good, but a better spring could probably remedy that up.

Don't go with CYMA. I'm pretty sure you can't upgrade the spring in that either because its not compatible with anything.

From what I've heard and seen the CYMA MP5-J has problems with its selector switch and tappet plate.

Not sure what the issue is with the selector, nor how to fix it.

Once the tappet plate breaks you'll need to replace it.

Where are you even planning on buying this? Buyairsoft.ca isnt importing for the time being and I wasn't aware of any other retailer offering them in canada.

But if you insist on getting one, make sure you consider the extra 100 dollars worth of parts and labour you will need to spend to have it work properly.

Even then the durability will be sketchy.

I'm pretty sure there is a review of that gun on the website, and I know there are countless reviews of it on the internet. Try using the "Search" function and Google.

First off, you may want to do us the courtesy of filling out your profile so we know where you're from and stuff; your options, and pricing, will vary greatly from country to country.

That being said, I'll assume you're from Canada, and if that is indeed the case, I'll say Stay Away From The Cyma.

The old adage "You get what you pay for" still holds true, but in Canada you'll actually get a lot less than what you paid for: these guns go for about $30 in the US, and for $30 (~C$45) you can't really complain much, and you probably do get what you paid for (more or less a disposable MP5 that'll last you a couple of games).

In Canada however, the only place I know that sells those shitty LPEGs is BuyAirsoft, and they're charging $230 for it.

I don't really know how BuyAirsoft can justify the astronomical markup when a quality gun that goes for $350 US sells for under $500 in Canada. Or maybe they can legitimately justify it, I don't really give a shit, cuz the bottom line is the CYMA isn't worth that much either way.

Cheap guns may be alluring, especially if you're on a limited budget, but considering you can find decent quality used guns for $350-400 -- that's barely $100 more than what you'd pay for the CYMA junker -- it's really not worth it; don't waste your money on something that'll break or otherwise disappoint you.

Main problem is the selector plate not sure about the tappet but that's about it, also it IS Marui compatible just the spring they use is stronger so you can get up to 300-320 fps that's saying if you swap in a stock Marui inner barrel. The selector switch itself is crap but TM replacement is about $27, plus it works better.
Okay...

but US$70 (currently under C$80) to $230 is still quite a stretch for a gun that needs fixing right out of the box.

Like I initially told him, for whatever it goes for in the US it's fine, but at $230 I'd really be looking at getting something better for just a bit more.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure you can get a hold of something for 400 that'll save ya some headaches. I don't think TM MP5s are going for 500+...I could be wrong though.

Brand new TM mp5s should go for 400$ on the dot. Since you can get an AK47 for 450 new.
Look around get age verified and talk to the right people.

last CYMA i opend had a completely clear plastic mechbox, cilinder, pisten, and tapit plate. The gears didt look to be made of much better platics. The internals are a JOKE.

The older ones were like that. From what I've read, the CYMA 027 and up (not counting the G18AEP) are pretty decent guns. Never owned or fielded one though, so I'm not sure how their performance holds out on the field.

So i guess it is not a good gun lol and i had that main idea too...

For the place i would buy it -- A&A surplus....
But i wont buy it....

For the profile, i forgot sorry
I just filled it up.

You guys told me interiors were cheap so i wont buy it until i get something in metal in interior...I don't care about the exterior but i want something good in the inside lol.

Well i went in the same section, and i found a rally good looking mp5.

This one got full metal gears so no Cheap interior but i don'T know if one of you guys tried it...

That's China Air that's even worse. Don't buy that.

If you want a decent MP5, try this:

http://aasurplus.ca/airsoft/product_...products_id=37

You're not going to get a decent gun for under that price unless you buy a used one in the classifieds.

The CYMA 023J is the PREVIOUS MP5J which has the plastic gearbox, the 027J has a METAL gearbox and is Marui Compatible, I've owned two of them and they have taken me a long way.

Yes $230 CDN seems like a big stretch but what can you do? I know that after the importation they are probably only about $140ish but people gotta make money. For more higher end stuff there isn't as much of a markup but more people buy it, that's the case for Canada at the moment.
