Trojan Armor Suit For Raffle!
Trojan Armor Suit For Raffle!
Starting June 12th,2007 thru Sept.1,2007 there will be a raffle held at: http://www.missiontrojan.com/thesuit.html Videos: YouTube - Halo-like Body Armour Demonstration 2 YouTube - Troy Hurtubise II: Project Grizzly goes to war This guy is from project Grizzly, he has been trying to build a light weight affordable exoskeleton for Canadian and American soldiers. The intention is for it to be light weight full body protection against bullets, blades and bombs. It looks pretty awesome, and they are auctioning off the proto type, minus the ballistic protection. We all know that the temptation to play bat man would be to much Anyways, he actually went Bankrupt building the suit. Lost his home, his scrap metal business.. I think that if he had a chance to make some other proto types he could makes something useful and lets face it pretty cool. So it is a 50/50 raffle for the suit, 1 dollar an entry. So spread the word around, my heart broke when I heard he went bankrupt so I would like to see him continue his work and get back on his feet. Imagine walking into a game with this baby Last edited by Wakingheart; June 15th, 2007 at 01:46.. |

Minus the ballistic protection...
That's almost proof that this thing is a crock of shit. Edit: Also.. How can they be including a pair of replica 9mm pistols in Canada... Last edited by Amos; June 15th, 2007 at 01:35.. |

Hahah Amos It is being sold as memorabilia, have you ever watched project grizzly dude
YouTube - Troy Hurtubise: Project Grizzly He was selling it on E-bay before along with the recipe and rights for his ballistic foam, it did not meet his reserve. Though if anyone has seen project Grizzly I am certain he knows a thing or two about ballistics. He has been doing this since the 80's even made fireproof paste... Lol why would you need the ballistics any ways, airsoft is about costumes and fun. This is a fun unique cool costume. No need for Ballistics unless you are gonna go all Ned Kelly on us Edit: Don't we buy and sell replicas all the time on this forum, we just have problems with importing them, and this guy is pure Canuck Oh yeah for proof he knows how to deal with Ballistics watch this vid Last edited by Wakingheart; June 15th, 2007 at 02:12.. |

Because if I had that thing, I'd go fight crime as my alterego, CyberDork. Or RoboGeek.

Troy Hurtibise is a crackpot. Had he spent more time and money drawing inspiration from Kevlar, ceramics, and spider silk rather than Halo, Robocop, and Star Wars, he might have a viable product rather than a laughable costume.

AquaMarine: Haha no it is an raffle, no one in Winnipeg has one of these
Gryphon I would agree that he went a little to robocop on this one, He could have went for more of a molle system and allowed inserts for conventional ceramic plates, incorporated a hydration system and definitely went a different direction with the Helmet, incorporated more conventional necessities. The magnetic holsters could easily have been replaced with a Black hawk style holster and maybe he should have payed more attention to carrying gear and incorporating future soldier technology. Lol there are definitely huge problems for military application, but I really would just love to see what he thinks of next, maybe it won't surpass current military technology but you know it will be cool that is definitely worth the buck for the raffle anyways Lol though I don't think anyone on the forum really has the right to make fun of him....hahaha we run around and play military with aegs that shoot little white bbs. It is cool it is fun, but if you step back we are just having fun with cool toys |

But it's in the General Airsoft section, so it has something to do with airsoft, right? If it had nothing to do with airsoft, you would have posted in the Off Topic section, but you didn't so now I'm trying to figure out what it has on it that shoots bb's! Shucky darn!
I wonder if you could mount something on it like a shoulder bb gun or something.
