Two gun internals questions
I'm going to have the JG g36c (8.4V mini) apart to install a new cylinder set, shims and metal bushings, deans connectors (because I hate the tamiya ones).
1) Should I rewire with #16 AWG thin silicon jacket? It has cheap batteries and I bet the resistance is high. Is rewiring it a waste of time? Also where to get the wire at a good price? TheSource is probably the most expensive to buy from. 2) Thinking of building a ver2 sector clip. Waste of time or useful for this guns upgrades? http://alakdan.php0h.com/sectorchippage7.html http://www.pvairsoft.com/images/uploads/ka-pa-01-aa.jpg

The JG (echo 1) gearboxes come small. People say they are more durable then a stock TM gearbox, which is hard to tell but it does look like there is a little bit more metal near the front where version 2 gearboxes break. Also, with my version 2 gearbox from Echo 1, I could only get 4 metal bushings(systema). Why? For some reason the gearbox fit tight and when I switched out the bushings the pastic bushings wern't as thick as the metal bushings. So the metal bushings acted as shims themselves, and if I put in all 6 the gears wouldn't spin at all. But then again, this was a version 2 gearbox, im not sure how they are with version 3.
Yes the stock battery suck. I bought a replacement battery with Elite cells and it did wonders. Higher ROF and could pull a stronger spring. |

Yes, I would also suggest replacing the battery instead of rewiring them.
Sector chip is not necessary if you're not experiencing misfeeds from a high ROF.

The biggest wire one can fit into the mechboxes is pretty equivalent to Beldon aerospace wiring, #18AWG Teflon insulated. So don't even bother rewiring, it won't drop your restsance down at all if you keep the mechbox wiring (be even higher if you keep the stock fuse in it, which is a smaller gauge wire then the mechbox).
