Stock Piston, New gears?
I reciently had a event and ran threw ALL my ammo. I used about 1,000-1,500 rounds on my Semi auto only gun shooting 435-440fps w/.2's. I just got done taking my gun appart a week later and there is absolutely NO wear on any of the piston teeth.
The piston is a stock JG piston which I believe is a stock TM piston. It's amazing, I though I'd strip it while on stock gears and a M130 spring... Now, next part. I want more Fps... I'm thinking of buying Hurricane Ultra Torque up gears (http://redwolfairsoft.com/redwolf/ai...l?prodID=18405) Then probably a Area 1000 half toothed piston. I have a M140 spring but if I'm allowed to go upto 500fps I'd like to use a M150 which will get me real close to 500fps. My gearbox had no problems last week. There are pretty much no signs of stress marks on where a usual Version 2 gearbox breaks. Let me know how good Hurricane gears are. I though about Guarder gears (http://redwolfairsoft.com/redwolf/ai...l?prodID=23032) but they seem real cheap for some odd reason... Also I want to get a silent Piston head. I already have the cylinder head I just need the piston head...is there some place where I can get just the piston head?

You might want to check your trigger's electrical contacts to make sure you're not burning holes in to it. I recently burned through a set of contacts on a gun I was using to test a Systema M130 spring.
Upgrade to torqued up gears asap before you start firing a lot in semi-auto again. |

let's ask a more important question: why do you want 500fps?

Did you notice his location?
People in the states may not abide by the same fps rules we commonly follow. As for your gearbox/mechbox, continue to check up on it. Its not the the upgrades you have will destroy it but they will cause it to wear down alot faster. Just like reenforced mechbox's their not invincible they just take longer to break.

Bolt Action 600fps Semi 500fps auto 450fps Indoor 400fps. <--Sometimes it was the same rules as outside... fucking hurts. Keep in mind the fields were pretty small. Biggest i played on was about the size of the one in St Calixte. Imho it's the American mentality. They want the max/best/coolest even tho they don't need it. 600fps Bolt Action snipers... freaking nuts. The worst was indoor by far.

Can someone please explain to me how torque up gears exactly have a different ratio? I've been looking at a bunch of gears and I can't find a size difference between the gears to change the ratio.
I only noticed that the infinity torque up gears actually have a different size gear, thats why you can only use a half toothed piston. I always thought that changing ratio's involved changing the actual diameter of 2 or more gears but it looks to me like thats not the case. I also herd that more teeth change the torque ratio??? Maybe I skipped gear class but I'm kind of lost onto how they can be different ratio's and yet the gears are the same diameter? Or maybe my eyesight is off and the gears are actually all different sizes? Maybe a diagram would be good??? I just find myself lost on this part... What brand do you recommend? I don't plan on using my gun alot, probably once a month at most... I'm looking for something cheap!

It's all a mather of perspective and habit. Your gameplay changes a lot when the gun shooting at you in full auto no more than 15 feet away is incrusting BB's in the plywood. For 2 years I was running a 525ish fps ( with .36g) sniper rifle and not one complaint. I never hid that my gun was hot and if it bothered someone I did not play with it that day.
