TM GBB?

Here is my dilemma, I've got TM G17 and only the mag that came with it. I think I missed the last supply of mags from A&A.

Now even if other brand mags are compatible with the TM G17, there are none in stock either way, namely KSC, are the KSC G17 mags compatible with the TM G17???

So here is my next question, without having to wait for the next shipment, I'm considering getting a 2nd TM GBB, of what ever is in stock at A&A, GBB and extra mags, that is.

Last I checked here are my options:

Hi-Capa 4.3
M1911
P226

Suggestions?

I've searched other sites for reviews, but just wanted to see what others have to say if they were in the same situation.

Alternatively, with the exception of CBSA employees feeling the need to take it out on someone, mags are ok to import yourself.

For a different feel, the 1911 and its single stack would be my recommendation. Otherwise, double stack GBBs and their greater gas capacity tend to rule the day.

For mags PM Jugglez, or go to Airsoftparts.ca - great dude and great prices, I have been bombarding him with all kind of silly questions and orders for over a year now and he is grat all around...

KSC Glock 17 mags are not compatible with the TM G17. You can order GBB mags from Asia directly if none of the retailers here have stock, I do it all the time without any problems.

All three guns you listed are nice, I'm happy with my TM M1911A1 however its gas mileage is poor due to the single stack design. On average I can only get one mags worth of BB's before running out of propane and that problem may get worse when the weather gets colder.

The Hi Capa 4.3 and P226 will offer similar performance and gas usage so between those two it boils down to which look you like more. The 4.3 does come with a metal frame (at part of it) so "metaling" it out is as easy as getting a metal slide. With both the 1911 and P226, if you want full metal you need to get a slide and body which is more expensive (if money is a problem).

Deagles and M92s are all double stacks. Whether a gun's double stack or not depends on the real gun they're based upon. Pistols with big, wide grips will be double stack in terms of gas capacity. Pistols based on real guns that came out in the last 30 years tends to all be double stackers, too.

GBBs shoots harder and funner than AEPs. AEPs shoot longer (per charge of battery, compared to per charge of gas) and are far less sensitive to temperature than GBBs.

TM 5.1 Hi Capa is awesome. I use .23g in it and its as accurate as a real pistol within 40-50 feet. At 25' you can shred a coke can. It holds 31rnds, come stock with adjustable sights and is considered one of the best GBBs on the market out of the box. I'm not sure you can ask for more aftermarket parts and its also a great start on a IPSC pistol. Very responsive and a real joy to handle and fire. You won't be disappointed!

Importation of mags are permitted??? :|

That opens up a huge market, great, now I need to do more research!

If that is the case, I'm just gonna stick with my G17 then.

Thanks all.

See you guys at TTAC3 this friday.

Has anyone every bought anything from that retailer from HK???

The HKDCAD cross rate is so favourable for the CAD, it makes no sense to purchase in USD.

Now, just to ask again, mags get through customs with minimum disturbance as long as there are no replica rounds?

Unless there are other over seas retailers some of you have dealt with, I'd be more than happy to take a look at their supplies.
