It shouldn't reflect on airsoft at all. This crime was committed with real steel, not airsoft. It oinly shows he had an obsession for airsoft hardware. People are becoming too lazy for securing their firearms. Obviously the kid knew either the combination to the lock or knew where his parents kept they key(s). I myself have firearms and my kids do know what's inside, but I keep the keys out of sight and won't have them near by when I go to retrieve them. That way, they don't know the location of the keys.

For future reference, topics like this should be placed either in the "General" or "NAR" section.

Amazing how easy it is for airsoft to fall into the hands of kids. Seems to me that any publicity is bad publicity for airsoft. Even if shown to be a harmless fun recreation there will always be someone ("soccer mom") who will want to squash it. But if the shooting was with a real gun then hopefully it wont look bad on airsoft....heres to hoping. Did the kid have a real gun or airsoft at the school, I didnt hear about this story.

Why would you want to bad school? That's quite dumb, and will render even worse students.

It's the US, where airsoft is a joke to get, and real guns are almost as easy. Depending on the State, you dont even need to keep the real guns in a secured area.
