Mini to Large battery
Quick question:
It is complex to modify a AEG to take Large Battery? I have an AK with fixed stock, I could put in a large battery... Thanks |

Well....does the AK take a large? If it can fit in there, and you just have the wrong connector, then just change the connector from a mini Tamiya connector to large Tamiya connector!
Oh, and I guess you have to add some wiring so it reaches the stock. |

No issue with the gauge of the wiring?
I have the space for a large battery, and would like to increase the voltage a bit for better ROF (with more AMP to run a 2700 Hi cap) |

AK with fixed stock should already take a large battery, unless it's not a TM or something?

You don't have to change the wires. If you want to keep it really simple, you could probably find someone to make you an adaptor to connects your existing mini plug to a large battery. All it'd be is a Tamiya mini female plug wired to a Tamiya large male plug.

or just use a 7.2v large battery and get a more realistic rate of fire (probably around 800rpm, still too high but its a good ROF)

So, the gauge of mini battery can support large battery, it is just the connector that need to be changed?

One thing to know, the small connector is wired the exact opposite to teh large connectors. No idea why, but it's a fact.

I run both my Cyma CM031 ,CM028 and CA Steyr Aug with 9.6v 1100 , there is ample space to put more batteries ,I fine they last me all day and I have a good rate of fire.

Can I swap a battery with large connector and put mini connector on it? (and vice versa)?
Thanks |

Yes, why not? It's just a connector.
