Well the main diffrence is one is made by WE and the other is made by TM. Technically I have answered your question.
Now for the non asshole answer. WE will most likly come all metal. TM will most likly be plastic, but that is not to say metal versions are not available they just cost more. Upgrades will be numerous for the TM, internals and externals alike. TM high cappa 4.3 review http://www.airsoftforum.com/board/in...howtopic=50251 WE high cappa 4.3 review ....nah...Im gona go ahead and let you do some of the work.

Build quality is the major difference.

WE metal and paint sucks. I mean, not bad enough for me not to get a WE, I have my eyes set on their 1911. Their paint scrapes off VERY easily and the metal (especially) around the slide catch wears to nothing in no time. Also the hammer/grip safety have issues.

Their paint doesn't suck, its the metal, basically if you scratch the thing the metal scrapes off taking the paint with it because its so soft.

I have owned my TM 5.1 for 3/4 of a year now and can't complain. Actually, I can only brag. Its one of the most reliable guns I have. The accuracy is amazing and it competes with many AEGs on range. I have made several kills at 100'+ and despite what some people will say TMs have no problems with propane or green gas. There is also an argument for why you would want a plastic GBB. Plastic is obviously lighter but this increases the performance of slide cycling, gas consumption and overall heft of a back-up weapon. Either one is fine but if you want the better GBB get a TM.

I would go with the TM. I've personally have had many issues with WE in the past. I don't know if there quality control has gotten any better lately, but I received quite a lot of lemons back when I ordered them. Several had non-functioning grip safeties, a few had hammers that didn't lock back and would catch on the slide when it was racked back. One even came with the main spring housing not even attached to the gun, I had to install it myself. I'm not saying that they're horrible, I know many people have gotten fully working GBBs from them and like them. But personally I will never buy any of there stuff.

The new generation of WEs are pretty fuckin' awesome, especially if you replace the recoil spring.
