Yes people have.

And yes, they've gotten a very good review so far.

A down side to them is that it is one piece, if one of the gears happen to go to shit, you are going to replace the entire set.

I had them in my TM mechbox that I had in my C8. The gears were awesome. They're reinforced gears and feel heavy and tough. The likelihood of them every failing unexpectedly is pretty slim. They're easy to install and require no shimming. They're shimmed perfectly right out of the package.

In terms of actual performance, they run very smooth and were quieter than my stock TM gears. The gun sounded much less 'mechanical' with these gears. I had the torque-up set, and that increased the shot response time on the gun significantly. If my mecbox wouldn't have cracked, I probably would have kept using these gears. Too bad they don't fit in my CA mechbox, of I'd probably have a set in there too.

From what I' v been told you can only run these in old gear box, that they don't fit the newer beefed up versions. Can't say for sure as I have not tryed them, but when I was looking at them thats what I was told?

I have 2 sets. They ONLY fit non-reinforced mechboxes (ie stock TM or JG boxes) and a few others. They will not fit CA, ICS, Systema, or Guarder boxes.

There is a more detailed explanation I wrote for filairsoft.com here:

http://www.filairsoft.com/forum/show...t=24873&page=3

And as Crunch said, they are excellent.

He's correct. They only fit standard mechboxes. I had bought 2 sets, hoping to somehow fit one into my CA gearbox, but no luck there, so I had to sell the other set. But in a compatible box, you won't find a smoother, quiets gear set to use except if you went to helical gears. And you won't find anything easier and quickler to install.

I've had one in my CA SL8-2 Ver3 mechbox.
What happens when you install them in a CA mechbox is that you omit the bushings on the bevel gear. That way the gearset still sits securely with bushings on sector gear and spur gear.
It's in the manual. so this isn't some half assed workaround.

+1 for being smooth and quiet. I'd use these gears again if I bought another gun.

Will they fit into a Prowin 8mm gearbox?

spacing wise, excluding the 6mm to 8mm problem

Modular helical gear set would be great!
P.S. I bought one of Crunchmeister Modify gearset torque-up and they're great!

If you are going to buy anything for you gun, I would say that these gears are the thing to buy. I use a set in a TM gearbox, with a m110 spring and it is amazing. Just buy them, they are GREAT!

It is a shame that they are too big for any reenforced gearbox.

Seriously go buy them!

Hmm... I was thinking of picking up a set of systema helicals but now it seems like these are somewhat in close comparison.

Has anyone compared these two?

Helicals are stronger and quieter

but these are easy to install, and require no extra shimming
