Strayer Trip International Eagle 5.1 HYBRID with Slide Mount DocterSight
===============================================
EDIT: August 11th, 2011 See >>THIS POST<< for updated photos and parts list. ================================================= Original Post below: I was just taking some test photos of this gun and was going to start taking the *real* photos when the mirror motor on my SLR decided to die. So I guess you guys will just have to settle with these pictures for now. This gun was never created with any intent of copying any real production counterpart. The beauty of the 2011 frame and the double-stack platform it works on is the high level of modularity it allows. Generally, practical shooting competitors have leaned more towards this platform and STI International has a pretty strong fan base. Because of the modularity of these parts, this gun could very well be produced by STI - but they don't have this actual model in the works. Again, it could easily be produced by the number of parts they have. The styling is distinctly STI. Enjoy. Parts list: Externals: Tokyo Marui Hi-Capa 5.1 Shooters Design Synthetic Grip - Blue Shooters Design CNC Chassis 5-inch standard - STI 2011 Silver Shooters Design STI Eagle 5.1 Hybrid Silver Slide Shooters Design Hybrid Stainless Steel Outer Barrel - Type A Shooters Design Hybrid Cal.45 Stainless Steel Chamber Shooters Design Sight Base Shooters Design Magazine Base - Type B Silver WE Magwell Nine Ball Single-Side Slim Safety - Silver Nine Ball Slim Extended Silver Slide Release Lever Freedom Art Adjustable Trigger Nine Ball Low Profile Magazine Catch - Silver Tokyo Marui Hi-Capa 4.3 Dual Stainless Custom Beavertail Carom Shot Stainless Steel Hammer Doctersight II Plus - 7MOA Internals: Guarder 150% Enhanced Recoil Spring & Hammer Spring Set Shooter Design POM Cylinder Set Firefly Hop Up Rubber - Hard Firefly Enhanced Recoil Rod Set with Bearings Firefly Enhanced Plug Valve Nine Ball Spring & Plunger Set Nine Ball Dyna Piston Head Set Tanio Koba TWIST Inner Barrel KM Stainless Steel Valve Knocker KM Stainless Steel Hammer Strut KM High Flow Valve Carom Shot Stainless Steel Sear Shoots a fairly consistent 325fps with 0.20g BBs

I approve.
I'm wondering, how does the trigger adjust? I'm assuming there is some sort of screw that moves the trigger forwards and back. |

I'm sitting here at TTAC3 right now while 10 people go through the intro course.. Many people prefer the "real thing" but not everyone can do it.. whereas everyone can do Airsoft IPSC..

What a beautiful gun. I love STI guns. You should try short stroking the the recoil spring to make the cycling insanely fast.

My only complaint with this current setup is that the Shooters Design base is a bit wobbly. Quote:

The classes/courses are currently being run by Shooting Chef, who is an IPSC Black Badge holder. Yep, it's real. I've tried a bunch of knockoffs and they were all garbage. Quote:
As for short-stroking... there's a mechanical "error" with this build that's causing it to short-stroke unintentionally. I guess I'll just be like Microsoft and market it as a "feature." lol.
