Gun selection!!!

Hello,
Now I know what your thinking... Oh great, another noob, not reading previous post/ not using the search bar... well you'd be half right (I'm the worst at looking for things, anywhere ). So sorry if I waste your time but...

I'm new to airsoft (as if you couldn't tell) and the army navy store down the street sells a select few AEG's, the one's they do sell are:

TF16:
http://www.pyramydair.com/cgi-bin/mo...?model_id=1335
TF5:
http://www.pyramydair.com/p/tactical...soft-gun.shtml
and the TF7:
http://www.pyramydair.com/p/tactical...soft-gun.shtml

The reason I present these are A) I'm not age verified (and won't be for a year ) so I can't browse some of the sellers here.
B) Well obviously I'd like to get into airsoft, if only with my brother at my uncles farm (I definitely DON'T want to give Airsoft a bad rep, it's already teetering from what I've read) It looks like a lot of fun.
C) It just seems easier to go to a store than to order online.

So are these decent guns? And if you were wondering, my dad has agreed to buy the guns.

Thanks!

No they're not good guns.

I suggest the Hasbro Rev 8. It's the most awesome gun in the world.

If that doesn't suite your fancy, Try the SUPER SOAKER AQUASHOCK SECRET STRIKE.

The TF16 and TF5 are both $160 and the TF7 is $130 (I think) and they're all black. I've held them, they seem decent, mind you I don't have much to compare it against. Is 18 really the magic number? I'd like to have one even if I can only shoot my brother. Is paintball my best bet until then ?

Well if you can ignore the idiotic and responses, most of which are shoe-ins for the jackass of the year award, then yes, 18 is the magic number.

Most people on this site won't do much to help you until you turn 18, so stick with paintball or stay under the radar until then.

+1 to that.

Your best bet dude is to read up and save money so that when you are 18 you cna get age verified and buy yourself a really nice high quality gun. Trust me, you won't regret it.

18 is the number that most retailers would (and by all means -SHOULD-) sell airsoft guns. That isn't to say there aren't games open to 16+ it's just that it really is in the best interest of the retailers to avoid the headache of selling a projectile weapon, no matter how benign, to a minor.

You shouldn't have an airsoft gun if you're not 18 even if your parents purchase it for you.

It will only get you flamed.

Wait until you're 18, it's worth it.

Hope this helps you change your mind on buying an AEG.
