A New Guy!
Hey all, Iv been playing airsoft for about 3 years in the U.S. (mainly in the north east) This will be my second year @ university in Toronto. Im also moving there permanently ... for the most part. I was wondering if i was worth it for me to bring my airsoft gear with me to toronto get games in over the school year. I did some research last year into the importation laws and i know that they can be a little strict ... i was also wondering if anyone knew anything about that.
Thanks for listening, Ceriph |

Go to Mexico for a bit, learn as much as you can about jumping the boarder and when you're ready to come up north, you'll be all set.

disassemble your gun, you can bring in EVERYthing EXCEPT for lower receivers(upper receiver for MP5s). Then buy a receiver here or something
full guns are not allowed across the border |

I was thinking about brining them up in parts ... i remember that being legit. What about the upper receiver of an M14? And Is there much in the way of games around Toronto. I took a look at the fields listed in Ontario and the closest seems like Ottawa. Just looking to get as much info as possible, Thanks for being fast with the responses.

Welcome to ASC man, as its been said, your gear shouldn't have a problem. But just keep in mind of the restricted items. A trip to the FAQ's should point you in the direction you need.
Once doing that, feel free to ask more questions(we like it when people read and research before asking questions). You'll learn that pretty fast. |

The upper will most likely be prohibited because that is what hosts the trades.
However I may be wrong. |

I'd break down the gun in parts, bring the parts up, and then buy recievers when you get up here.

im not sure what people think of this or if its feasible but maybe you could pay one of your importers to import your airsoft for you, ( im not sure if they would be willing to do that though, and you would have to be age verified in order to contact them)
again, im not sure if this would work but why not ask |

As for going to UofT, that's awesome: I live down the street from the campus. If like CQB, there's TTAC3, Defcon, within easy TTC distance and a few others if you can carpool. Three or four game days a week. |

Very cool. Ill be staying right below campus as well. And if there is some action within TTC distance I'm sold. Ill Probably part my M4 and take it along for the train ride and then buy a new reviver. Iv looked more into it and i feel like thats my best option. I don't feel like looking for a body and receiver for my M14 so it'll stay down in Vermont. Thanks for all the speedy help everyone. Im looking forward to getting some games in while I'm at school.
P.S. What's the pricing on parts compared to other places in the world. Since the importation laws are stricter I'm guessing that brings the price up on thing like receivers ... Am i making wild guesses or is some bit of truth to my line of thought ??? |

Division

200-300% of US prices for restricted items, such as receivers, and guns.
