For starter's i have bought my self a kraken ak47. and will compleatly(well allmost) gut it. Im planing on keeping the gears, thats about it. Unless some one can state outher wise why i should ditch the stock gear set and get a new one.. pitures will follow. please leave comments and feedback and if you have any pointers please tell me what worked for you this is my first ak and havent had that much exprence working on them so any imput is helpfull.

Here's the list of what im putting into it and on it.

Dark wood kit (undeced of brand)
element AK74 Flash Hider-12.50
total 103 shipped cad.

This should be in the modifications section. IMO I wouldn't waste money on a cylinder set nor the AR latch, nor the Sorbo. If you plan to go 450fps+ then a Sorbo is nice, but otherwise I don't really see the point much. Be careful with the Prowin. Some users report fitting/airseal issues. I'd stick to the KA unit instead.

Which brand steel rear sight, outer barrel set, and front sight do you plan to get, and why? Why replace something that ain't broken? Just curious.

Get a modify full tune kit.

Easiest thing you can do -- + all the parts are made to work with each other so it reduces the risk of tolerance errors.

UPDATE didnt think this needed a bump so i just edited my post all the mechbox parts arived good orderd thanks jugglez for hookin a brother up so fast only 2 days to ship awesome. now still waitting on the metal body and the gun. oh yeah i whent to crappy tire and picked up some silcone gel thanks colt for the information. now all i have to do is get the rest in and pimp it out.

From what people have told me this is the cheepest way to make shure your gun will work with out a problem and im using all modify parts expect the gears which i will keep stock. So in all this will be a gun first dive in to the v3 mech for me here comes mechbox.com for me!!!

a friend of mine tried to drop a new modify cylinder into a Kraken mechbox and couldn't get it to fit. I'm guessing he's gonna have to "modify" to install the modify.....har!

im thinking if i make the hole bigger on the cyl. head or make the poles smaller on the mechbox i can fit the cyl head... and maybe shaving down the teeth in the cylinder will allow the spring to reach the end (its getting stuck like 3/4 way in)
