Buffer tube diameter

Anyone know the diameter (in mm) of a real steel m4 buffer tube?

I want to buy a rs slither stock for my kwa; i measure it and came with 29mm.
I measured a ptw buffer tube and came also with 29mm.

Just wandering if its the same for a RS M4.

Thanks

Yes, it is the same. To be specific, that is the Mil-Spec size.

The Civilian size is smaller.

The buffer tube as the 'stock tube'?

Mil spec is slightly smaller than civilian size. The systema stock tube is errr systema spec (civie stock on it = wobble, mil stock on it = to tight).

Dimensions:
Civie: 1.17" outer diameter
Mil: 1.14" outer diameter

Taken directly from the information received with my mil spec stock tube for my PTW (to be able to fit the milspec Magpul stock).

Edit: Funny thing, some people are able to fit civie spec stocks no problem on their PTW's and vice versa. I'm guessing SystemA has crappy tolerences for their stock tubes...

Oops. I had it reversed. My bad. :P

I guess that explains why my Mil-Spec CTR is so tight on my PTW.

Yupp same here, buy SAA's milspec tube, its nice, black and fits milspec stocks perfect! It even has the cuts needed to fit lipo's with the plug w/o any drastic mods

Or wait for the cube electronics for M4A1's stocks

My old PTW stock tube is 29mm but it will NOT fit the milspec CTR, its very very tight.

Since its for a KWA try your chances with a milspec stock, at worst you can change the stock tube to a true milspec as long the threading is good.
