Buffer tube diameter
Anyone know the diameter (in mm) of a real steel m4 buffer tube?
I want to buy a rs slither stock for my kwa; i measure it and came with 29mm. I measured a ptw buffer tube and came also with 29mm. Just wandering if its the same for a RS M4. Thanks

Yes, it is the same. To be specific, that is the Mil-Spec size.
The Civilian size is smaller. |

The buffer tube as the 'stock tube'?
Mil spec is slightly smaller than civilian size. The systema stock tube is errr systema spec (civie stock on it = wobble, mil stock on it = to tight). Dimensions: Civie: 1.17" outer diameter Mil: 1.14" outer diameter Taken directly from the information received with my mil spec stock tube for my PTW (to be able to fit the milspec Magpul stock). Edit: Funny thing, some people are able to fit civie spec stocks no problem on their PTW's and vice versa. I'm guessing SystemA has crappy tolerences for their stock tubes...

Oops. I had it reversed. My bad. :P
I guess that explains why my Mil-Spec CTR is so tight on my PTW. |

Since its for a KWA try your chances with a milspec stock, at worst you can change the stock tube to a true milspec as long the threading is good. |
