grip stickers...wat are they?

i figured that i needed more grip on my g36 handgrip, and after looking around trying to find the sticker that seems to be on some ar grips or PTW crane stocks i still have no luck finding out what exactly it is.

my best guess is the skateboarders board grips....am i right?

Picture? It's probably just built into the grip.

That would be too rough IMO... I'm guessing some sort of rubber to increase the grip.

Are you talking about the PTW Sponge Sheet that goes in the PTW stock?
If so they are cheap, if you can find them in stock

Hit up your local outdoor sports retailer and ask there, the last time I was in whole sale sports I remeber seeing some pistol grip and rifle grip sticker sheets down the accessory isles.

^bingo.
Hit up any rifle/pistol range and they should have something laying around.
Guntape also works wonders, and I would assume skid tape would work well once it has worn down a bit or (sanded lightly!)

I just use skater grip tape (helps to put tape on your area first, then lightly draw what you want, cut it out, then transfer to the grip tape), then degrease the area with lighter fuild or alcohol, then stick it on. And take some scrap grip tape and sand all the sharp edges off the grip tape on your gun. I have this on both my MP5 grips, my MP5A forgrip, and also on the grip and sides of my M24. Used to have on my G19s grips as well, but it ended up falling off due to the lack of smooth surface to stick it. Past bunch of years I've used bicycle inner tubes there, and swear by it (fills the grips out a bit more).

hockey tape

it fixes everything. It molds to your hand over time ...it becomes as hard as steel. I had hockey tape on mine for 5 years...never came off or needs redoing.

I thought about the rubber handle grips. I have one on my other geko and I like it. I really don't see the diff between the $1.50 in tape or $10.00+ for the rubber handle. (ok the handle grip looks cooler) but I am a cheap bastard after all.

I found camo hockey tape at a local sports store. Works great for that extra little bit of grip.

I've used hockey tape before. One use in the rain, and it all soaked up, leaving my hands in black crap. Never again.

You must be using cheap tape man. I use "renfrew" hockey tape and never had an issue with black off it...gloves are another story though. I use it in rain, snow, sleet , hail, and sometimes I use it in sun too

I also find the cheaper the tape the more dye does come off. As with anything I do a test before going crazy and slapping it on my AEG. I usually use a broom handle or something to test it first.

Always test before use. Sometimes the glue has stuff in it that can cause damage to the plastic. I cannot remeber what tape it was but a few years ago it left all kinds of glue behind on the abs plastic i was testing it on.

dude dont use skateboard griptape. i skate and i know what that shit does to your hands, its not fun. and if you use gloves with it itll wear your gloves out and also it will badly scratch up just about anything it may bump against or rub on

you could check out the craft section at walmart to see if they have any of that adhesive backed sheets of craft foam. you can custom cut it to fit anywhere and its thin and pliable so it wouldnt really get in the way of anything and itll adhere to the shape of your gun providing a smooth comfy grip. ive used it for lightly padded cheekrests on a few of our guns and it works very well

+1 for hockey tape. Have some on my MP7 grips and it's been working great so far.
