Systema barrel = new hop up req'd?
I know I read this somewhere and I tried searching but I can't find it.
I bought a new Systema tighbore 6.04 inner barrel. If I'm using this in a metal M4 body, do I need a different hop up / air seal because the outer diameter of the Systema barrel is bigger? I'm planning on using a G&P hop up. Thanks in advance. |

From what I've seen on my own gun, you'll definitely want to put some light weight silicone oil on the hop up sleeve just to make it fit in nicely.

Just don't use a thick hop-up bucking in the G&P hop-up (like Prometheus buckings). That combination never works for me and I always have to use a thinner bucking like a Systema.
Once I switched to a Systema or Prometheus hop-up all buckings fit on my Prometheus, KM, Systema, and stock TM barrels. Last edited by TriChrome; September 25th, 2008 at 23:09.. |
