let your battery cycle a few times first. And are you sure it was charged fully?
but.... dude man, be patient, you've been asking for spoon feeding a lot(Both localy and over here on ASC). I don't wanna sound like an ass but you really have to start researching yourself, spoonfeeding is for babies, and I know for a fact that you can do better. |

aka SNK or Shaniqua

We don't even know what charger you are using or if you are charging it correctly. What do you usually do? Cycle the battery a few times. NIMH doesn't need to be discharged. You can just top it up after cycling. Use slow charge overnight. Not fast charge for the first while.

Sounds like a case of a cheap battery and the need to cycle it several times *as stated before*, I haven't found any info on your charger either... hmm.

In my book it's the Voltage that determines ROF.(i.e. motor speed) Mah is capacity and just indicates discharge rate and spring power capabilities.

In general I'd agree that V = ROF and Mah = # of shots...
but I think that Mah can be coincidentally compared to ROF since higher Mah packs are usually made of larger cells (i.e. 2/3A vs. SubC). When comparing a 8.4v 1200mah mini to a 8.4v 1400mah mini there's not much ROF difference...but there is a good bump in ROF if you get a 9.6v 1400mah mini battery (all of those with 2/3A cells). When comparing a 9.6v 2200mah mini (those ??AA?? sized butterfly packs, that have never been useful to me) to a 9.6v 2200mah large battery...you definitely get an improvement in the ROF. Just need to be clearer when posting info... |

ah yes that's true.

Voltage and current both have an effect on ROF, and I've tested this myself with several batteries in my guns.
The one that I did actually chrony with different batteries was by Real Sword Type 56. 8.4V 1200 mAh mini: 11 rps 8.4V 1500 mAh stick: 12 rps (my backup battery) 8.4V 2500 mAh large: 14 rps 9.6V 1400 mAh stick: 18 rps (this is the battery I normally use) 9.6V 2000 mAh nunchuck: 20 rps 9.6V 3800 mAh large: 25 rps But yeah, larger, higher capacity cells make for lower internal resistance and a higher discharge rate. The increased current flow translates to more power on the motor and a higher revolution rate. Either way, in the final equation, both extra voltage or extra current will translate to extra power and a higher rof.

What amperage setting are you using on the charger?

sometimes .8 sometimes 1.5 and one time 3. but it wasn't that hot after i charged it

I believe for that size mini battery, you should charge it under 1 amp (.8). I'm not an electronics expert, but I think 1.5 or 3 is too much.
