new idea fro inner barrel
Okay i'm asking has ever done this before or ever though of doing this.
I have a CM030 and i'm thinking of buying a inner barrel and covering it up with a silencer as you would usually. Well the barrel would be a bit long, but what if i unscrewed one end of the silencer and put washers down it and attached the end of the silencer back on then the barrel would be attached further in the silencer. Sorry i can't explain it better.any help is appreciated |

what's the point of having a longer inner barrel in your pistol? Pistol was made to be a compact weapon, you just defeated the entire purpose.
and no, I don't really get what you want to do =\ |

Could you draw us a picture or something? You've worded your idea a bit poorly, and a labelled image would work wonders in helping you explain your idea.

I think he wants to open the silencer and drop washers into it to keep the inner barrel centered.
IMO, not needed. Lots of people run AEG's with inner barrels that stick into their silencers. Inner will just float in the silencer. A longer inner on a pistol is kind of pointless since you'll never be able to do a quick disconnect and run without the silencer. You are stuck with it on which defeats the purpose of a small compact weapon. You'd be better off just getting a tightbore for the current length and be done with it. |

My Maruzen MP5K included a factory suppressor with an inner barrel inside it so I could benefit from both the looks and functionality and could return to a regular sized barrel without having to tear the gun apart at a moments notice.

right now I have a barrel of about 105mm right now and im getting a barrel about 150mm long i want to put in in a silencer because I don't want to break it. It also makes it easier for me to attach and detach the silecncer compared to my rail kit for it.

45mm won't make any difference, cleaning out your hop up rubber and barrel will make ALOT more difference . The design of the hop up unit on the AEP is closer to an AEG than to a GBB.

if you wanna make the barrel longer to the point it loses that compact weapon aspect hell you might as well add a pistol stock onto it too. i think the more weight you put on the end of a pistol the harder its gonna be to keep it steady and aim properly in action. unless youre beefcake

I think he has the idea of an inner barrel extending into a silencer... only he's over-thought it by quite a bit...

Yes. You CAN in fact stuff a VSR-10 barrel into a hicapa or any new TM pistol for that matter if you so choose. 5.1 is pretty much the easiest to do, with the readily available Nine-Ball SAS kit and any 14+ suppressor. Accuracy and range takes a pretty damn good boost, and it's almost a scrim-able weapon with enough tweaking.
Only things you have to do are: A: Mesh the hopup unit and the barrel. Unfortunately, although extremely close, the stock barrel between the VSR-10 G-Spec differs slightly compared to the Hicapa, and a bit of dremmeling is required to mesh the two items. B: A method has to be found to cover up the barrel. Easy solution was the SAS kit, but it looks a bit fugly and spacegunny. Hard solution is an actual threaded barrel and suppressor. And C: The hard part is now drawing it from a holster. Existing holsters are pretty damn hard to find, but I found UTG's universal OD leg holster to be more than adequate, and I can easilly draw it mounted on a duty belt, without interference by the sights. I wish my digicam was working then I could show you how ridiculous it is (enough so that mounting a vert grip on the SAS kit feels NORMAL), I might have a teammate with pics of it though.
