Tippmann airsoft

Don’t know if any one has heard around here yet but some time this year Tippmann the manufacture of arguably the highest quality woods ball and milsim paintball guns around is coming out with a line of airsoft guns this year. They claim to have full metal construction and hop up units in both GBB pistols and AEG's at a price point of less than 150$ us for the AEG's no word on the compatibility to TM or other brands. But given there quality in paintball guns they might be a worth while purchase in airsoft as well.
So far I’ve seen an ak47 and xm8 for the rifles.

For any other company that is what I would think but Tippmann is usually rock solid in terms of quality from my experience in paintball. (I've owned every paintball gun they’ve made except their very first one) and the never make crap products except the C8 witch is a propane paintball gun but it actually was a good gun it just didn’t sell to well. I've never known them to rebrand stuf usualy people rip them off.

I know, as I said I don't know if they are even compatible to anything I'm just saying it will be interesting to see if they are on par with they’re other products. Not to mention they got the money and industry behind them to release high quality products for a decent price whether they are new releases or not. But only time will tell.

Avoid at all costs!!! They are the worse POS airsoft guns out there, even clearsoft is better. I had a guy's Tippman AK 47 here for a while, many complaints about it so I checked it out. Literally shot around 200fps with 0.20g BBs and no hop up on. At 30ft in my basement wasn't that bad, about the same as my Crosman shotgun. Dial in some hop up, you can start to see even light BBs (including .12g) start to fall to the floor after about 20ft of airtime. Chronied close to 40fps, and as you might have seen in someone's sig a quote from me........ "I can throw a pen through a chrony faster than that!"

And they DO have a mechbox, it's clear plastic.

If you want a cheap wall hanger or a good cheap gun to play airsoft in your basement, that would be a good choice. If you want it for your backyard, unless you live in an apartment, don't bother.

Or just buy cheap clones and put their own name on them
I don't have much faith in big companies who exist in one area of a market and then suddenly come out into another area. Most of the time it's just rebranding.

Well that’s the end of it as far as I’m concerned then if CDN_Stalker says its shit, its most likely shit.

I pretty much asked the same question awhile back. Their first endeavour into Airsoft with their C02 Guns did not hit off and were discontinued. And they also had the AK and XM8, no word on the AK but the XM8 rebrand they had before was reviewed to be crap. So they discontinued those.

Most of their airsoft is either shit or rebranded from china clones.

I have this P90 was rebranded by Tippmann, its not half bad, considering the price. But remember you get what you pay for.

Good man! Ya, those things have been around for about 4 years now, the guy had bought it, had it for about 6 months, Foxtail ran it through it's paces off his back deck, total shit and even chronied badly, I couldn't believe it, Feb 2007 he gave it to me to check out, maybe take apart and see if anything useful in there, compatible, never did, it sat in my basement for a good year and a half I was so disgusted by it, never even got past taking the to cover off it to see the mechbox. I have no idea it the hop up unit and mechbox can be replaced with good parts, be interesting if it could, but outside biuld on the AK was quite good. I guess Tippman (or whomever designed/manufactured it) never tried out good AEGs, so they just found something that shot 6mm BBs and offered the world candy coated shit.
