CA36 Project

So I'm thinking of putting on hold getting anything new. For now, get my WE1911 back in working order and pimping out my CA36.

Since I'm still waiting on the hand guard which could potentially be lost thanks for Post, I'll start working on other areas. I'd like to replace the stock carrying handle with this flat top rail open the option of using other optics, was leaning to a red dot but will look into that later. I was also thinking of this stock adapter to use a collapsible M4 style. Once the hand guard comes in, I'm mounting this light and sticking on a fore grip. I was also considering a PEQ battery box but thats still in the air, plus it would look a little weird.

Since this will be my first "project", I'd like to hear opinions. Any foreseeable problems with this setup? Nothing has been ordered, just freeing up money and budgeting for now.

Should work fine. Personally I don't like an M4 stock on the G36, but hey to each his own. Is this a full size G36 you're doing it to? I put an SL-8 rail on mine with no optics.. works great and looks good, but I've seen a lot of them with a G36C rail as well. Be aware though that the STAR rail is a different colour than the CA36.

It is the full length G36. I was sort of picturing a carbine hybrid for this rifle, the current stock is a bit long. Might look into that rail, thanks for the suggestion. Still just looking for the parts and a little inspiration.

OK so I was looking at this Socom Gear X36 Adapter from AirsoftParts. It states a slight modification would be required to stick it on a CA36. I can't for the life of me even find how to do so on Google. What kind of mod work is needed for it to fit my CA36?

It might just be slight fitting issues. You might have to grind something, I really don't now.
For a stock, you could also consider these:

One is sniper style. So, are you downsizing your handguard?
