where to find specs
Does anyone know where I can find out what gearbox ver. a Tm G3sg1 has/ Also I found someone selling one they claim has an upgraded spring and gearbox. They are selling it plus a 9.6v battery charger plus 2 hi cap mags for $500.00. I s this a fair deal?
Thanks in advance for the help. |

It really, really depends on the 'upgrades' he's put in there.
If he's swapped it out with all prometheus and other high end parts in prime condition, it could be a very, very good deal. If he put in shitty clone parts with horribly QC, and the guy had no idea what he was doing, it could be a lemon. (note: while it doesn't take a genius to disassemble and re-assemble a mechbox, it's fairly easy to mess up. I've been in and out of V2's quite a bit, yet I still have a lot to learn, and screw up badly once in a while. Which usually ends in scratching my head and searching the interwebs. Or pulling it all apart and starting again.) Point is, if you post up some more information regarding the gun itself, we'll be able to give you a better idea. Also, if you can get age verified, you'll be able to take a look at our classifieds for guns, and get a better idea of it's value for yourself. |

Working on getting age verified at an event Feb 3rd. All the guy wrote was that it has an upgraded spring and gearbox. It says systema gearbox.

Basically, systema gearbox are worst about 300 $ Canadian Price include shipping, tax or whatever but still depend who is the gun doc that has experience upgrade it or not. Even you got a systema but if people like me open it then it won't worst like 300 $ anymore because I always mess with gearbox even a brand new gun, I always end up sell it cheap. Hope it help.

Make sure to ask how much he gamed it, if there's any known issues etc. Post that info up here then, and we'll try to give you a better value range. If you can, toss up some pictures on here as well. EDIT: Also find out if he's the first owner or if he bought it used. Last edited by Cushak; January 31st, 2009 at 22:25.. |
