p226 vs p229

Whats the diff? I cant realy see any aesthetically or otherwise. And whats your pref?

P229 is a compact pistol and P226 is a full size pistol.

different calibers in real steal i do believe.


edit, Correction: both come in multi calibers.

Same guns, different lengths. That's all. The 229's slide is a bit shorter making it more compact. Otherwise, there's no difference for airsoft purposes.

The grip/mag is also shorter.

It's smaller in both length and height.

Personally, I prefer the P226 since it looks better. The P226 has a safety decocker but does the P229? Looks like its missing or it is probably somewhere else.

its missing in that pic but it does have one as well. I've shot both (AS and RS) and I actually find the 229 easier to draw and quicker with aquiring a site picture
