Modifying the Illumination mag. Brighter?
I just got one for my m15..
I notice there is a uv led inside. Now I know uv may work. but am wonderin gif I install a hyper bright white led.. would I not be able to super charge them faster than this dim uv? I am also looking into modifying a standard mag into an illumination but no rush there. Thoughts?

white would be less efficient than uv ... if you want to do something, add some uv leds. i made a tracer mag using 2 .5w uv leds and its working very well!

The UV light might look dim, but you can't see UV radiation. Its not in the visible spectrum. So the UV light is outputting way more of the UV light than a high intensity white LED. And it is the UV rays/radiation that are actually activating the phosphorescence, and making the BBs glow.
If you want to boost its ability, install high quality UV LEDs

Cool. But trust me, the UVs will do it better. If they don't, I will be baffled, because as I knew it, it was the UV lights that made phosphorescent materials glow. Like glow in the dark paint, at laser tag places. They use UV "black" lights to make the paint glow.

well your thinking of uv reactive material
it may very well be possible that uv is better. I am ordering in new bright uv lights also. I will compare what is in there. to my new ones. and to a hyper white. Setup a dark box to have them all light at the same time. for the same length and I will count to 10. turn off the light and see who is brighter then I will let them die. and flash the lights for a half second to simulate them running through a mag at full auto. the uv in the mag may be a hyper already or just a basic one. will test and find out an dlet you guys know I just opened it up. should be easy enough and may look into adding a second led if I feel its required Still wish I could light the ones in the hop up. lol

you could also use a supressor with the built in tracer unit, that could help a bit. |

Just to let you know, the mag version is much less efficient that the suppressor version. Since it lights up the BB's in the mag, they can sit in your feed path/hopup for a while before shooting them, losing their glow.
The new TM V2 tracer unit has a lot less visible flash. |

Get real complex:
UV lights somehow in the hop up unit somewhere.... O.o
