Fuse/Gear question

Lets start with the fuse question. I'm going to rewire my gearbox and motor to run with deans & 16 wiring to handle my 10V batt. Do I still need a fuse? Or does the fuse have to be upgraded in some way too?

Gear question: If I'm running the setup above with an m120 spring do I use max torque or speed gears? (Systema Magnum motor)

High torque gears, not high speed.

Fuse, if you like, it's there to protect the wiring, nothing more, any fuse you'd use woudl handle the 10V no problem (most common styles are either 32V or 250V rating)............. you'll have to fuse it for a higher current rating though, maybe a 20A. But you'll run into problems with 16AWG wires, at least running through the mechbox and through the grip to the motor, likely the insulation will be too thick and it won't fit without interfering, unless you are using expensive mil-spec aviation grade wiring, then it's doable.

My sig has a V3 mechbox and all of the wiring is OUTSIDE the mechbox. I plan on using the following to solve hte motor problem:

That's perfect then. Avoid that #16AWG wire with the thick silicon insulation though, the really flexible stuff, it tears really easily and will short out. ABS is better than nothing, Teflon insulated if you can get some.

Where would I pick-up some Teflon insulated wiring if I have no hobby shop in my city? I have a future shop, walmart, sony store, Canadian tire, Home Hardware.
