Tight bore
Hello all,
I really need to know, should I get a tightbore barrel for my G&G PM5-A5? I hear that it is shooting 340 FPS and when I actually saw a chrono it was shooting 310-320 with .25s. Now, I want the accuracy, but I don't want to be bumped over XT's indoor 350 limit. I will reshim it, and maybe something else dependent on Warfighter's internals review of it. However I do need opinions. Also, I do not want to put a lighter spring into it, unless you REALLY think it is necessary. Thanks.

310 to 320 with 0.25s is already pretty close to the 350 limit. That 350 is with 0.20g BBs. In fact if it's 320 FPS with 0.25g BBs it's slightly over (using energy conversions http://www.arniesairsoft.co.uk/?filn...s/fps_calc.htm).
A tightbore is not a bad idea. The accuracy increase is nice but if you're just playing CQB, not sure it's necessary. As you're already close to the field limit, a tightbore may definitely push you over.

Are you only playing indoor? If so a tightbore is a useless upgrade. And yes a tightbore would probably put you over the limit if you aren't there already.

Well, as of now, I am playing both indoor and outdoor with it, until I can afford a different outdoor gun. That's the only reason i was contemplating the upgrade. I guess I'll just save my cash for now.
