M16 Stock Alternatives

Hey guys, this question has probably been asked but I am short on time and haven't been able to research it much

I was deciding on either the G&G M4, or the G&G M16. I like the M4 for it's retractable stock, but it is just too short, so I was wondering if a retractable or folding stock would fit on an M16, or it this wouldn't work because there would be nowhere for the battery to be housed.

Also, if this is possible, would you please post some links/pics of a cheap stock for an M16? thanks in advance guys

Whats to short? An M4 stock at its farthest position is just as long as a M16 full stock.

If the barrel is to short, put a longer one.

Theirs a couple options for full stuck, but they are expensive.

You could get a retractable stock that holds a battery, like a crane stock or modstock, or use a Li-Po in the stock tube.

If thats the case, buy a M4 and install an M16 length inner hidden under a silencer

I mean the foregrip is too short, I like the M16 style/length of foregrip, but I like the M4's retractable stock, so I wanted to know if I could replace the stock of an M16 with an M4 style stock.
My concern was that there would be nowhere to house the battery, because of the fact that it is normally housed in the fixed stock

You could get a crane stock with a buffer tube so you can have a retractable stock and house a battery in the stock also

yes yes the C7A2 is exactly what I mean.

So the front end on the M16 doesnt have any room in the foregrips like the m4 for a battery?

That will also require installing a new non-ported cylinder.

If it's simplicity you want, get the M16 and get a G&P crane stock + 9.6V battery from airsoftparts.ca. Will take you all of 20 minutes to install (at most) and will be exactly what you want. The only mod you MAY have to do (not sure what the tube is like on a G&G) it to cut the stock tube on the body down a bit to fit the stock tube.

Alright thanks guys. quick off topic question:
Would you take a stock G&G M16 (classic version) for $319, or a stock JG G36c with 2 Magazines and a cheap red dot for $325? Keep in mind that there would be no shipping charge on the JG, it is close enough I can just pick it up

Uhh, I would vote G&G.

It seems like before this whole clearsoft craze, G&G was a totally respectable brand. Sure, not the best, but a step above the Chinese clones.

Now that they come in clear receivers they are suddenly considered total Pieces of shit, even though they have all the same internals as their full metal guns.

Regardless, my G&G mechbox still shoots like a dream, and my JG crapped out on me after my first game

Maybe I just got lucky.

lol this is only my second time :P

It's just I don't really know what JG's are priced like in Canada, and I don't know if this deal is decent or not.

I am also still confused as to if a DMPS rebranded JG is good or not, considering I can find one for $170 that is normally $300 :S
