Spring plug dilemma

I'm having a problem figuring out what type of spring plug is used for RS Kimber pistols. In most of the pictures I can't see whether its closed or not. I'm going to have a metal Nova warrior kit, and I've already found out that there's a military issued model with a black spring plug, and a civilian issued model that uses a silver spring plug. Whether that silver spring plug is closed is another question. Since I'd like try to replicate the civilian model as closely as I can, finding out the type of spring plug is important to me... if I don't get it right then it would bug me forever. Call me picky, I don't care :P

Does anybody know the answer to this?
A few pictures are below, both military and civilian issued:

Here's a picture of the Kimber Tactical Entry II:

I noticed this model does not use the closed spring plug. Could this possibly mean all their other models that use the silver spring plug are not closed as well?

I just did. It doesn't say whether or not the spring plug is closed.

The tactical entry version has a full length guide rod so it will have an open spring plug while the other 2 have standard length guide rods so they should be closed.

Oh? So GBB with full length guide rods have open spring plugs while standard length guide rods have closed plugs?

It looks closed for the photos you've showed.

Generally, combat pistols like this would use a closed spring guide as well as a standard spring guide, to prevent entry of dust at the spring plug.

Yes... that's the exact reason why it's opened... so that the full length guide rod can extend through when the slide blows back. It's not just GBB... that's for real pistols as well.

I never put two and two together. Awesome, thanks again!
