homemade m203 stock "standalone" 56k melt

hi ASC!

well this monday at work i though "hey i have a 203 and there is a pistol only game tomorrow i must bring it!!!" the thing is its a RIS laucher ... so operating a RIS laucher on its own is kind of awkward...

when i got home i took some plywood and my skill saw and went to work!

basically i took my pellet gun's stock as a template and traced it on the plywood with a pen. then i just layed the 203 on top of the drawing and traced the 203's back shape...

next step was to cut the shape with the skill saw and to reproduce it on a second piece of 3/4 plywood, so now i have 2 shapes. then i guled them together with wood glue and putted finishing nails in it to make it more solid.

next step involves plenty of dust!!! the stock rounding was made with a heavy grit sandpaper and an orbital sander ( a belt sander would have been soooo much better)

for the m203 "mount" i inserted finishing nails at a 45* angle to make a "kinda rail" so the m203's clamp holds on the wood body and is secured on the nails's heads. the rail on the top is from my mp7.

i then dug up a old can of brown-ish stain and applyed it with a rag

total build time from start to finish : about 2:45 - 3:00h yeah i really wanted that stock for the next day lol

here is the completed result! (note that i have limited woodworking skills i have limited woodworking tools and usually works with metal sooooo i know its not perfect) anyway...

I've been wanting to do something like this forever! Too bad my wood working skills haven't progressed much further than smacking a tree with a hammer.
