One man's junk is another man's Kraken!
I went into my local sporting goods store today looking for some kind of a sight for the GR16, when I noticed a Kraken in an opened box with papers taped onto it behind the counter. I had a conversation with the store's owner about it, and he told me that the kids who owned it() brought it in because the gun "wouldn't fire". He showed me the gun, and after a look at it, I was just a matter of excess abuse on the fire selector that caused it to come loose. Re-mounting the washer and screw was all it took, and it worked like new! The kicker is, the store owner already contacted his supplier, and had a replacement gun ordered, so he's not sure what to do with the old gun. I made him an offer to buy it at cost, and he'll find out if he has to send it to Aftermath, or if he can just write it off and sell it to me. From the sounds of it I'll most likely be ending up with the gun, which means that I'll have a spare gun for a loaner or a backup for games, and the best part is it's pretty much brand new for a fraction of the cost.
Just goes to show; one man's junk is another man's treasure! |

No doubt it will be interesting, I've never handled an AK replica before. I just hope I don't turn into another AK whore, and the GR16 becomes a wall-hanger.

Yeah I guess you're right, but better off I have it over some tween that barely knows how to load it, letalone operate the safety properly.

Yep, we should all do our part to keep guns out of the playgrounds and parks

So I guess you got a 3D instruction manual that you can loan out now.
Nice. Tune it up with a few parts and make it a loaner/backup.

AK Tactical body for sure, since the stock body looks a bit flimsy. After that, I'll go from there.

I'd like to do that as well, but unfortunately the pawn shops want way too much, and it ends up being a Christmas present for some kid bought by a dad with deeper pockets than mine. |

when it comes to a kraken, it's still junk, but at least when it breaks, it'll have been expected!

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I noticed CM.23 on the mechbox on it, isn't that a CYMA designation?

Aftermath are CYMA rebrands. I thought that was common knowledge? And it should read CM028 or something to that effect, as the CM.023 is supposed to be for MP5
