KJW M4 Gas Blowback Rifle
https://www.buyairsoft.ca/rifles/gas...ack-rifle.html
So, this a decent GBB rifle? Its really hard to find a nicely priced GBB M4 :S, can never find one in the GBB classifieds unfortunately. Would need a new lower receiver for sure, but would that be worth the buy? Thank you. ~Sacre~ |

The KJW GBBR uses a different system from any other the other manufacterers.
It seems to be the post reliable, going for thousands of rounds out of the box, with no mods needed, and it doesn't seems to really suffer from the lower ROF cooldown problem many of the other brands do. However, you will be hardpressed to find a replacement lower, unless you can talk one of the retailers into ordering you one custom direct from KJW, it will not fit regular receivers. Even though there is no third-party support for the rifle, KJW has been very good at shipping individual replacements parts to people. Mags can be hard to find at times. but if you want a skirmish GBBR that you just want to work straight out of the box, and you don't care about crazy performance upgrades, its the one for you.

Actually, there are a few parts for this gun. I personally own this gun it is amazing. Shoots very straight, and very hard. Has a nice kick to it too.
The mags are very gas efficient. I get about 3 mags worth out of each one. Like I siad, there are aftermarket parts for this gun. Tightbore barrels (you have to get a special cut for the hop-up unit. AEG cut barrels DONT work), a Cradle velocity reducer (mod for the bolt. all you have to do is add and remove o-rings so you can reduce your velocity to play indoors), and a O-Ring piston (highly recommended as the piston that this gun comes with is very cheap and is prone to cracking). If you are looking for any of these parts i have them for sale. BRAND NEW. Here's the link. http://www.airsoftcanada.com/showthread.php?t=97465 As for a metal lower receiver... I have yet to find a soul who will import that part. I even have the part number and price from KJW themselves and still, no one will import it. To be honest, it really doesnt look that bad with the clear lower receiver. Its interesting to see the mechanism of how the gun works. If you have any mroe questions about this gun just PM and I will surely help you out. Or if you want to buy the aftermarket parts I can help you out there too. |

So i contacted the Canadian firearms center, and they told me that I can import any AEG i wish (and GBBR) that is full metal/clear as long as it is under 500FPS.
but for some reason I have my doubts considering all the retailers in canada sell with a lower clear receiver. But how much truth is there to this? The only thing that considers a rifle as a replica is its FPS or "Joules". |

I am very surprised that they woudl say that. It has been said that it is possible to import a gun that fires over 500 FPS as at that point it is considered a firearm. But then of course you would have to have your PAL. Customs however may not realize this and will more than likely sieze your gun anyways. You could ask for an appeal in which then they would send it off for a chronie with the RCMP (i believe in Depot, ALB? or SASK?) But this is all done at your expense. They are not going to do this free of charge.
So, by the end you really aren't saving any money buying out of Country. And it took you forever to get your gun. All the information that you need is in the FAQ section of this website. Hope this helps |

I have had my KJW m4 for a few months now(I live in the U.S. so I ordered it from China before it even hit the States) and I love it. In the winter I can get about one mag off at 300 fps which is ok considering that I'm using propane. When I first got it it was early fall and about 70F here and I could get off 2-3 mags on one gas fill. She has had well over 10k rounds through her and been to a few big games. I only have two mags however so I carry bbs and propane in the field. The noise she makes is intimidating and the recoil is fun. Would it be easier to play with an AEG m4? Yes. Would it be as much fun? No. Another thing, you can't fit two of the mags in a double mag pouch as they will not fit. All in all it's a great gun and I love it.

They are fairly simple to mod. The AEG outer you want to use will need one small cut (notch) and a hole drilled and tapped for a grub screw. I did up a 10" here but then needed a + to - adapter for the flash hider. So now it's 10 3/4"
Edit: flask, opps lol

Anybody has opinions concerning the kick, and has tried WA and WE systems for comparison?

All I can tell you is that there is slightly less kick then a current gen WE SCAR.

I own both a KJW and AGM GBBR. The AGM has an "enhanced kick buffer tube" installed, and I want to say the KJW has equal or better recoil.
The AGM makes a "clink" noise, and the KJW makes more of a deeper "bang". Jeff
