Battery Voltage versus drum mag

Hi,

I was wandering, are electric drum mags design to work at a specific rate of fire, ie, 8,4v versus 9,6v.

I m trying to reduce jam with my drum mag and I m using a 9.6v right now, low of missfeed

Thanks

I used to use a Drum mag with an 11.1v Lipo... I had no problems with missfeeds...

what kind of drum mag are you using (the brand) and what brand of batteries are you using in the drum mag?

You have to keep in mind when using re-chargeable batteries, in the drum mag, that they are 1.2v and not the 1.5 that alkaline outputs. The drums that i have are using 4 batteries ea. so at 1.2v it's only driving at 4.8v whereas alkaline will give 6v.

Also you'll have to research any flaws associated with your brand of drum, because some those flaws that may cause a misfeed unrelated to drum motor speed. My A&K 249 drum's motor would keep up to the ROF, even while using a 9.6V large ,but there was a certain part in the box that would "bunch up" the bbs and clog up the feed path.

the electric winding drum mag has little to nothing to do with your miss feed. think of it as a high cap mag, you wind it up and shoot then wind it up some more.

if you are in a heavy fire fight, try to make sure that your mag is fully wound and as you begin to shoot, also trigger the pressure switch.

if you still think your drum mag can't keep up, why not just take your finger off the trigger for a second to allow it to catch up?

If it's misfeeding, you may need a sector clip on your sector gear to slow the tappet plate timing.
