How to put the battery in my G&G GR16 R4 Commando

For the life of me i can't seem to figure out how to put the battery in the gun... i've referred to the manual but it's no help, doing what it tells me to do doesn't seem to work
i know this is quite embarrassing on my behalf so any suggestions/solutions would be more then welcome!
