Magpul FDE Color

Hey guys, I bought some Magpul stuff in FDE color and when I received the items, it looks alot darker than images online. Pictures online look more tan and beige, but mine looks dark green.. Im pretty sure i got the FDE color as oppose to the green color, since the box of my MIAD grip even says DARK EARTH. Here i took some pics for you guys, can you tell me if it is supposed to be this dark?

Compared to Black

As you can tell, the FDE looks alot darker than images online. Here are some pics of FDE online:

Ummm ya it does. Flat "DARK" earth LOL.

Turok, It's like that because of the lighting or flash used to take the pic and you probably have not colour corrected your monitor. I was thinking about getting a CTR stock so if you want to ditch yours let me know I'll snap that up.

EDIT:
Also are you sure you got genuine Magpul items? The chinese Knock off stuff tends to be on the Greenish side.

I've got a RS Magpul Maid grip (labeled Dark Earth) and a Magpul PTS MOE Dark Earth AEG grip in my shop right now.

They look identical...shade/colouring wise.

They are both a bit of a colour difference compared to a FDE G&P MUR body. The body looks a bit more yellow-y/lighter. Not much but it shows.

BTW...it all looks pretty much like something between Khaki/TAN/CB to me.

Hey EX, yeah i took the camera settings and flash into consideration. But there is still a large discrepancy in my opinion.. Mine looks more like olive drab than a dark tan color.. Yes, all my stuff is genuine magpul, not from some Chinese knock off....

But I did compare the color of my stock, rail ladders, and grip and all the colors look exactly the same (same dark greenish color) I guess I was hoping for more of a tan color than dark greenish color.

All real Magpul stuff:

More here:
http://www.pbase.com/illusive_airsoft/troycqb

Take in to consideration that I'm also using pro lighting equipment for most of those shots, and that I also calibrated the images with a slight tint of red in to the image to make it look warmer.

The following shot was taken with an on body flash, and it wasn't calibrated with the red tinge - the colour shown here is more accurate to what it looks like in the real world:

The stock's not in the picture, but you can see the grip and how it compares to the other furniture vs a tan/khaki Maxpedition range bag at the top. The grip, ladders and ranger pull are all the exact same as in the other photos.

Anyways, if you feel like Magpul completely pulled the rug out from under you and screwed you royally, I'd be willing to buy the grip and stock from you.

Thanks for the pics Brian. Wow, the color for the 2 photos seem completely different, but i guess its the lighting of the camera. I was hoping for more a tan color, but mine looks more greenish like the second picture u posted. Well at least i know thats how it supposed to look like.. I thought I got the wrong color

BTW i see that your mag release and your safety switch are steel. What brand are they?
